Obsessed with Soft Light?
Lighting is one of the most important aspects of photography. The word photography comes from the Greek works and light writing, so that may tell you how important it is. I think the lighting is photography, but defines and establishes the draft tone, you must invoke a feeling and inspire thought.
There really are not lighting techniques. From here you can say that the flash camera should never be used and creates hard shadows and a flat look. Frankly looks like a mug. What if you want your shot to resemble Mug Shot?
[REMOVED] [REMOVED]
These days everybody says you have to use a light box and all the photographers I see you have a least one. But what exactly a light "soft" and why is it necessary? Soft lighting is more about the effect of light on images and not the source of real light. A soft light is generally considered when there is no harsh shadows and strong contrasts. This "soft" effect of light can be created with a light box or some other diffuser as an umbrella or a wall, but also can be created by a light source much larger than the subject. Even a "hard" light can appear in a smooth image, if significantly greater than the subject. A softbox is not always necessary and need not keep one in your light like a tripod, without feeling any piece of equipment is required other then the photographer and the camera.
There, Sometimes when you want to make a dramatic statement with your photograph and you should consider all ideas for lighting. How Flash on direct sunlight behind the subject, the light from below? Most never? Any new photographer will have learned that you should never do these things. I remember my teachers covered it very early, but have you tried?
A silhouette can be done well and seen some impressive high speed photos with lights hidden under the item number. Do not think you have to shoot at any image in a specific way. Do not get too hung up on the rules until it breaks a couple times. Lights go out and try and see what can (and can not) do for you.
